Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of services provided by UNFOLD, operated by Vernal Path LLC (“we”, “us”).

1. Scope of Services

UNFOLD provides Japan-side operational support and practical assistance for overseas businesses and individuals without a local presence in Japan. Services include coordination, confirmations, physical handling when applicable, documentation, and local follow-ups as explicitly agreed in advance.

2. No Legal, Immigration, or Agency Services

UNFOLD does not provide legal services, immigration advice, tax advice, employment placement, or recruitment agency services. Any guidance provided is practical and informational only.

3. Client Responsibility

You remain the sole decision-maker for all applications, submissions, contracts, payments, and commitments. UNFOLD acts only based on your explicit instructions and approvals.

4. Pricing and Payment

Pricing is confirmed in advance based on scope and request type. Business services are typically priced in USD, while individual services may be priced in JPY. Execution begins only after pricing and scope are agreed.

5. No Guarantees

UNFOLD does not guarantee outcomes, approvals, processing times, or third-party responses. Our responsibility is limited to performing agreed actions and reporting outcomes accurately.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNFOLD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Liability is limited to fees paid for the specific service in question.

7. Confidentiality

Information shared with UNFOLD is handled confidentially and used solely for service execution, unless disclosure is required by law.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our services evolve. Continued use of UNFOLD services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
